Hu Jiang: The Core Values of Shanghai Museum’s Digitalization Construction

From Shanghai Museum’s establishment of the first Information and Data Center in China to the successful hosting of the Expo 2010 as well as the 22nd ICOM General Conference and 25th General Assembly of ICOM 2010 in Shanghai, especially the successful hosting of AVICOM General Assembly, all of these symbolize the information construction and museum exhibitions’ digitalization process of the Shanghai Museum has gone through the Age of Touch Screen as Supplementary Presentation Mode as well as the Age of Database, Network, Website and Interactive Display, and then entered the Age of Scene-mode, Multi-perspective Demonstration and International Creative Cooperation. Each of these three milestone-style stages of development has its own core values and produces an effect on the development process of the digitalization display of Chinese museums. Now, the digitalization display of the Shanghai Museum moves further towards resource sharing and standardization, the digitalization of exhibitions and scenes, and multi-perspective demonstration and Internalization.
