She is the Research manager at the conservation and education department of the domaine national de Chambord. Specialized in the history of Chambord, she is in charge of the development of new mediation projects and participates in the creation of the application “HistoPad Chambord” as a scientific committee member.

Hélène Bernier
Musées de la Civilisation

Hélène Bernier holds a B.A. in communication. She first joined the Musée de la civilisation team in 1990 as a project manager, and became director of the Department of International Exhibitions in 1994. In 2002, Ms. Bernier temporarily left the Musée for the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec (CALQ), where she has been the director of two different departments. The CALQ supports Québec's artists and organizations in all forms of art and organizes artists’ residencies in several countries. In January 2011, Ms. Bernier returned to the Musée de la civilisation as Director of Development and International Affairs.

Stéphane Bezombes

Stéphane Bezombes has spent over ten years designing and developing high-level digital projects in the cultural world. After a degree in engineering, Stéphane worked as a multimedia project manager in a lead cultural multimedia publishing company. From 2002 to 2006, he was in charge of the Musée du quai Branly’s multimedia project for exhibition and interpretation of intangible heritage. In 2006, he co-founded RECIPROQUE, using his expertise in museum-related technologies and interpretive content production chains to serve as creative director, providing programming and implementing global solutions for multimedia projects. He worked for major projects for French Museums, from digital strategy to complete implementation. Stéphane Bezombes is a member of AVICOM-ICOM since 2010.

Simona Caraceni
AVICOM

PhD at the Planetary Collegium of the University of Plymouth (UK), her research activity is focused on virtual museums, man-machine interfaces, multimediality and multimodality, and new media languages of communication in heritage field. In the field of applied research she experienced the opportunities of online communication, multimedia and multimodal interfaces, augmented reality, communication heritage and e-learning with University of Bologna, City Council of Bologna, Regional Council of Emilia Romagna and actually at Visit Lab of Cineca. Member of the Executive Board of AVICOM from 2009 to 2013, elected as Vice President of AVICOM in 2013, she is as well the coordinator of the Italian commission “Audio-Visuals and new Technology" for ICOM-Italy since 2007.

András Cseri

András Cseri is the CEO of EnitLab Kft. He started his computer science career on the multinational field in 1998 and since then he has had the chance to prove his abilities in many technical and leading positions. He first met the products and quality politics of Apple Inc. well-known of its innovative thinking of informatics in the middle of 2000’s. This meeting has helped him to decide what he would like to work and what kind of goals he should set for himself. He founded his enterprise, EnitLab Kft. in 2010 which aims to transform the connection between humans and technology. Their newest development, Locbee^TM is an indoor localization solution which is outstanding in Hungary.

Mar Dixon, creator of many projects such as MusoemixUK and MuseumCamp, has fingers in many pies including culture, digital, publishing, wearables and tech sectors. She is driving force behind the acclaimed and world trending campaigns including #MuseumSelfie, #AskACurator, #MuseumWeek, #LoveTheatre. Mar speaks at many international conferences in addition to running workshops from small business to national museums and everything in between.

Gábor Faludi PhD
Eötvös Loránd University’s Faculty of Law

Gábor Faludi is a lawyer and an associate professor at the Eötvös Loránd University’s Faculty of Law, Department of Civil Law. His field of expertise is intellectual property law, especially domestic and international (European Union) copyright and in particular collective management. His publications examine issues coming up related to copyright, especially on the frontier of copyright and the Civil Code. In addition his practice of litigation and drafting contracts focuses on industrial property in particular medicinal product patent cases.

Samuel Franco Arce

Samuel Franco Arce, sound recording engineer and videographer, Director/founder of Casa K'ojom: documentation center, archive and museum dedicated to preservation and dissemination of intangible cultural heritage of the Maya culture. Since 1980 to present days, has been recording, photographing and documenting through fieldwork, intangible cultural heritage of the living Maya communities of Guatemala and the region. His personal collection include photographs and many hours of audio and video recordings, as well as musical instruments, masks, traditional clothing, domestic and ritual artifacts displayed at the museum. Since 2003, as a videographer has been documenting Intangible Cultural Heritage of other cultures in South Korea, Philippines, Mongolia, India, China, Nepal, Malawi, Nigeria, Kenya.

Richárd Fromann 
NetCoGame GamefulLiving Research Center Nonprofit Ltd.

Richárd Fromann is a sociologist, online game-researcher and a  PhD student at the Eötvös Loránd University, Faculty of Social Sciences. His dissertation’s object is the examination of the gamification-phenomenon, thus examination of games and game mechanisms in daily life, education and labour process.  He established NetCoGame GamefulLiving Research Center Nonprofit Ltd. in 2014, the first Hungarian research center which researches the advantages of gamification and its benefits, as well as brings out gamification developments and solutions based on the researches.

Bob Haroutunian
National September 11th Memorial Museum

As a Technology Designer, Mr. Haroutunian is responsible for working with a team of museum professionals designing and specifying the technical components for exhibit media delivery systems and interactive elements. His areas of expertise include technical system design and engineering, collaboration with the exhibit designers and the creative team, cost estimating, implementation management, acceptance testing and system commissioning. Mr. Haroutunian has established a leadership position in the design of media presentation and delivery systems for museums and visitor centers. Since 1971, he has been responsible for the media design of hundreds of museum exhibits worldwide. Recent projects include: The National September 11^th Memorial and Museum (New York), the George W. Bush Presidential Center, the Smithsonian National Museum of American History, the Smithsonian National Museum of Natural History, the Smithsonian National Museum of the American Indian, the Cooper Hewitt Design Museum, the White House Visitor Center, the California Academy of Sciences and the Gettysburg National Battlefield Memorial and Museum. In addition to his numerous speaking engagements at museum conferences, he is the author of the museum section of the AV Design Reference Manual, a publication of BICSI and the International Communications Industries Association and has been elected to the Board of AVICOM, the Audiovisual International Committee of the International Council of Museums (ICOM). He has received an M.Ed. in Educational Media Design from Temple University and a B.A. Degree in Mass Communications from the University of Miami.

Ádám Horváth 
Hungarian National Museum

Mr. Ádám Horváth was born in Budapest, Hungary, on 5th September 1954. He graduated from the Eötvös Loránd University of Budapest M.A. in Hungarian language and literature and library science in 1980. He wrote his thesis on information theory. He postgraduated at the International Computer Education and Information Centre as a programmer in 1984. He was the Director of Informatics of the National Széchényi Library from 2001 to 2011. He also worked for the Museum of Fine Arts Budapest and became an expert of museum systems (TMS, MuseumPlus) and standards (LIDO, CIDOC-CRM). He currently works for the Hungarian National Museum leading the Central Library. In the museum he became an expert of the HUNTEKA-M collection management system and the HUNTEKA integrated library system. He led projects in the field of library automation (migration of ILMS’), networking (Z39.50, SRU, OAI-PMH) and semantic web (RDFDC, SKOS, FOAF, OAI-ORE, FRBRoo, CIDOC-CRM).

Hu Jiang
Shanghai Museum

PhD at the History Academy of Kokugakuin University (Japan), Mr. HU Jiang is the Deputy Director as well as a research fellow of the Shanghai Museum. At the same time, he is the Deputy Director of the Digitization Committee of Chinese Museum Association, and the Deputy Director and Secretary General of Shanghai New Discipline Society. Since 1999, he has participated in planning and building Shanghai Museum’s Comprehensive Collection Image Database and Comprehensive 3D Database (including the National Cultural Heritage Database Project, and Standardization and Promotional Project for Cultural Heritage Image Capturing in China); the construction and operation of Shanghai Museum’s multimedia information project, cultural heritage museum’s comprehensive video database. Between 2006 and 2010, he was in charge of the Construction and Exhibition Design and Planning for the Urban Footprints Pavilion and the World’s Fair Museum of the EXPO 2010 in Shanghai. He also participated in bidding for the ICOM 2010 in Shanghai as well as the Organization and Operation of this International Conference. He was awarded "Shanghai Outstanding Returned Overseas Chinese Talents, Shanghai Expo Excellent Individuals" and "Shanghai Science and Technology Progress Award" issued by Shanghai Municipal Party Committee and Government. In 2013, he was elected as one of the executive board members of AVICOM.

Olga Kissel
Museum of Religious History

Olga Kissel graduated from the Mathematical Faculty of the St.Petersburg State University, she has a PhD in Pedagogics and a Master in Philosophy. She has been Head of Multimedia Department in State Russian Museum for 20 years. Now she is a developer of multimedia museum programmes for museum exhibitions and museum education. She has been a project manager of many joint international museum projects: Center of Museum Multimedia (together with Apple Computers), “Russian museum: virtual branches”, “Digital Russian Museum in the Western Pavilion of Kordegardia of Michailovsky Castle” (with the financial support of the World Bank of the Economic development), “Museum Internet Center” (sponsored by Sun Systems). In the last two years she has been Head of the department of computer technologies in the Museum of Religious History, St. Petersburg. She is also head of the project “Internet festival of museum multimedia “Museum Geek”.

Tímea Kókai Nagy

Béla Tamás Kónya 
Ludwig Museum

Béla Kónya has been responsible for the strategy of taking care of collections and preserving piece of art in the Ludwig Museum since 2008. His main work includes restoring pieces of art, preparing them for Hungarian and international exhibitions and managing the collection storages. He finished his master studies as a sculptor restorer at the Hungarian University of Fine Arts in 2006. After that he worked in the Museum of Fine Arts where he restored pieces of art for the Egyptian Department and took part in preserving pieces of art for temporary exhibitions. At the moment he is engaged in the theoretical and practical opportunities of preserving media art.

István Moldován 
National Széchényi Library

He has been working in the National Széchényi Library (OSZK) as a librarian since 1999 where he mainly works on online content development. His department operates and develops the databases of Hungarian Electronic Library, the Electronic Periodicals Database and Archive and the Digital Archive of Pictures. He took part in several European Union tenders about digital content management, for example: MinervaPlus, Linked Heritage, Civic Epistemologies. He runs courses about digital collections, e-books and personal information management in INKA foundation, at Kodolányi János University of Applied Sciences and at Budapest University of Technology and Economics.

Márton Németh 
Monguz Kft.

Márton Németh is a content manager at Monguz Ltd. He is also a PhD student at the Doctoral School of Informatics in University of Debrecen. His topic is focusing to the new semantic-web based collection development standards and solutions in public collection environments. He made his undergraduate and graduate studies in Szeged, Hungary and Aalborg, Denmark in the fields of History, European Studies, Library and Information Science. He was a librarian at the Directorate of Informatics, National Széchényi Library, Budapest, from 2005 till 2012. He was a member of the Digitization Committee and contributed in several digital library projects. He has written several professional articles in digital library field. In 2013, he graduated at the International Master In Digital Library Learning Master Programme. This programme managed together with Oslo and Akershus University, College of Applied Sciences, Norway, Tallinn University, Estonia, and Parma University, Italy. He made an internship in the UK at Loughborough University Library in 2012. Currently as an employee at Monguz Ltd., he is focusing on the professional support of project developments for libraries, archives and museums.

Dóra Péter

As the International Council of Museums’ (ICOM) Head of the Membership Department, Dora Eszter Peter and her department are responsible of the membership management and work closely with the National and International (scientific and technical) Committees and the members of the organization. ICOM has more than 35 000 members in 140 countries and registers an annual increase of 4-8% in membership.

Zsófia Ruttkay 
Moholy-Nagy University of Art 

Zsófia worked in domestic and Dutch academic institutions for 25 years as an IT researcher in artificial intelligence and computer graphics field. In 2009 she, as an assistant professor at Moholy-Nagy University of Art founded the Creative Technology Lab. The Lab’s interdisciplinary researches and experiments mainly focus on the usage of new technologies in the field of learning, reading, and cultural heritage conservation by creation of new genres. During the Digital Museum course they collaborated with several Hungarian museums in interdisciplinary projects and they created applications offering new experiences for exhibitions (Weöres100, Kő kövön, Nézz körül!). The projects and the questions of digital strategy in museums are internationally recognized.

András Smohay 
Diocesan Museum of Székesfehérvár 

András Smohay is an art historian, he has been working in the Diocesan Museum of Székesfehérvár since 2004 and he is its director since 2011. He organized several exhibitions: 1000 years of Saint Stephen, Bible meetings, Secrets of saints. He is the editor of museum publications and he organizes the conference called Hungarian kings and Székesfehérvár. He is a member of the Association of Hungarian Archeologists and Art Historians and the Society of Church History Museologists.

Ildikó Sz. Fejes 
Hungarian National Museum

Born in 1967 in Budapest, Hungary, she graduated from Eötvös Loránd University, Faculty of Arts majoring in history and archaeology. She earned a postgraduate degree in European experts at University of Miskolc, Faculty of Economics. In 2014, she acquired Arts & Business Manager qualification at University of Applied Sciences, Budapest. She has more than twenty years working experience in the Hungarian National Museum: including database building, participating in Internet and multimedia content development EU projects. Since 2011, she has been heading the National Museological Methodology and Information Centre (OMMIK). OMMIK as a background institution supports the work of the Department of Public Collection of the Ministry of Human Capacities by gathering, organizing, ongoing maintenance of data related to museums and by providing support for the museums themselves.

Gábor Tatai 
Intellagent Kft.

Computer scientist, focusing on R&D and hi-tech consulting. He has over 20 years of experience in audiovisual systems, HCI interfaces, educational programs and game development. During his doctoral research at UCL he developed non-standard AI algorithms including application of emotions to program concepts as well as interfaces. He serves as the director of the Hospital in the Rock Nuclear Bunker Museum Budapest for 7 years now. He was a technical advisor and supervisor during the development of the new museum of the Hungarian National Assembly (Parliament) between 2013-2015.

Natalia Tolstaya
ADIT

Natalia Tolstaya is an art historian, curator and art critic, museum's consultant and museum's expert. In 1991 she graduated with honors from Lomonosov Moscow State University and started working in the National Tretyakov gallery, where she has worked for more than 20 years: first as a guide and researcher, then in the department of big projects; from 2004 to 2007 as the head of Department of multimedia and Internet, and from 2007 to 2012 the Scientific (Research) secretary. Currently, since 2014 she is chief of Consulting department of Moscow center for museum development and the President of ADIT (Association of Documentation and IT in the museums – the national association that supervises problems of two international ICOM committees – AVICOM and CIDOC). She was author of several texts on Russian art and problems of museums. She was also the curator and the coordinator of important exhibitions and publishing projects of the National Tretyakov gallery and several multimedia and Internet projects.

Kornél Tóth 
Monguz Kft.

Kornél Tóth is a public collection expert at Monguz Ltd. He started his professional career as a librarian in the National Széchényi Library and in some other higher education and research libraries. From 1996, he was working as a member of the Library Informatics Expert Group, Institute for Computer Science and Control, Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He contributed to the Hungarian implementation, professional support and education of international integrated library software systems (TINLIB, QSeries). From 2011, at Monguz Ltd, he is contributing digital development projects for libraries, archives, and museums. He is supporting the institutional implementation of different integrated system products in library and museum environments.
